Juliana McFimeh- Motorcycle Tour Round the Province of Malaga

The entire first stage, which is 219 km long, goes through Axarquîa and includes 12 municipalities. This curvy route goes through towns and villages with Moorish influence, where bloody battles between Christians and Arabs took place. The area is in the eastern side of the province and has the largest number of towns. From the north to the northwest, mountain ranges, such as the Sierra de Jobo, Co, Camarolos, Prieta, del Rey, Enmedio, Alhama and, especially, the Sierra de Tejeda and Almijara, designated Nature Parks, form a kind of protective arch. The route is divided in four parts in order to achieve a perfect tour and enjoy the scenery as well as the villages or small towns it goes through.

The beginning of the route consists of 9 stages, which go through all the towns and villages in the Province of Málaga. It is 1, 700 km long and covers more than 70 municipalities. Depending on the progress of the project, it is more than probable that another part will be open which will go through many other municipalities. The route can be ridden in parts, each stage separately, or the entire at once for a period of 9 days. In the latter case, the way goes from the Mountains of Málaga to Málaga City. It is not necessary to visit the recommended hotels or restaurants and try their dishes if you do not wish so. You can go along the route on your own or follow the ‘guided tour’ with the previous booking of hotels, restaurants or activities.
